Why our Sangha exists:
“It isn't the things that happen to us in our lives that cause us to suffer, it's how we relate to the things that happen to us that causes us to suffer.” ― Pema Chödrön
We are a community of teachers in service of lessening attachments and decreasing the suffering of each being through the practice of and living mindfulness. Check back, often, for ways to practice with us. Additionally, you will see our contact information. Please reach out and let us know how the practice of Mindfulness can be of service to you.
“The spiritual practice described here is not about becoming a better person. It is not about increasing your skills, being more effective in your life, healing old wounds or being successful. It is about finding a way that leaves you at peace in your life and free to respond to others in whatever way is appropriate.” ― Ken I McLeod

At the age of 10, Rachel started practicing yoga by watching VHS tapes before school. When she reached 13, she realized that yoga went hand-in-hand with massage. After college graduation she immediately started massage school in Ithaca NY, and became an LMT. Continuing her education, she became a R.Y.T. 200 in 2015. Mindfulness became the next step to add to her arsenal of skills. Sangha is a home that will always be here, no matter where I travel, I will always have this community of people. We have experienced such growth together. Continuing this practice and being able to share this knowledge is an opportunity of a lifetime!

Barbara has been a teacher for 20+ years. During a particularly difficult time in her career and personal life, she became interested in learning about mindfulness as a way of relieving stress. Recognizing the increased number of students dealing with anxiety/trauma at her school, she also began using mindfulness practices in the classroom. The benefits, both personally and professionally, were obvious and led her to further her knowledge and understanding through formal trainings (most of which were led by Erica Ebert). Barbara has also completed the "Mindfulness Fundamentals" and "Mindful Educator Essentials" courses through Mindful Schools.
